Jemima's Blog: Pedigree Dogs Exposed

I love Jemima's blog. Anybody who loves dogs should be concerned about health issues in our purebred dogs. It's also alarming how the looks of so many dogs have changed in the last 100 or so years. In some breeds the coats have become so profuse to make it impossible for them to do the job they were initially bred to do, in some breeds the legs have gotten so short that one must worry about their underside if they have to walk on anything but grass, carpet or a flat surface, in some breeds their head has changed to the point they don't even resemble anymore what their ancestors looked like.
